IT Specialist II/IIIFull Time, Ft. Belvoir, VASecret clearance required**This position is contingent upon government approval**Overview:Semper Valens Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to support our organization in the Ft. Belvoir, VA area.
Responsibilities:Level II:- This Information Technology Specialist position works under supervision and guidance to perform assignments that support all aspects of Information Technology (IT) for business, financial, technical service, and other professional service projects.
- Operational knowledge in IT is necessary to support resolution of IT and system problems, apply to assignments, and meet completion dates.
- Essential duties and responsibilities may include working under supervision to support and maintain government computer systems.
- Troubleshoot, track, and resolve end user support requests and assist with the delivery of technology solutions.
- Comply with Federal regulations, policies, codes, and security and safety standards.
- Provide assistance related to technical design, construction, and technology solutions. Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents for review and approval.
Level III:This is an intermediate-level Information Technology Specialist. This position works under occasional supervision to plan and perform all aspects of Information Technology (IT) for business, financial, technical services, and other professional services projects.
- Intermediate-level knowledge in the application of technology is necessary to support the resolution of IT and system problems, to recommend solutions to higher level IT specialists and management, and to meet assignments as estimated and scheduled.
- Primarily works on matters of moderate to advanced complexity.
- Provides technical advice to IT and other professionals and the client.
- Essential duties and responsibilities may include working with some latitude and judgement to assist with strategic IT planning and work with departments on IT related projects and systems.
- Support backup and disaster recovery, cyber security, monitoring, auditing, and compliance, troubleshooting and resolving end user support issues, and delivery of technology solutions.
- Provide verification of operational status of government computer systems and related third party interfaces and comply with Federal regulations,
policies, codes, and security and safety standards. - Experience supporting and managing cloud instance by utilizing elastic cloud computing for resourcing needs.
Qualifications/Requirements:- Level II- BS degree and 5 years of experience.
- Level III- BS degree and 10 years of experience.
- Minimum of a Secret Clearance required.
