Additional Information About the RoleBJC is hiring for an IT Service Operations Engineer. The CSDM Engineer supports and maintains an accurate, CSDM-aligned Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and application/service data within a healthcare environment. This role focuses on service modeling, data quality, and governance to ensure IT service management processes are supported by reliable configuration and application information.
Essential Responsibilities- Maintain CMDB and application/service records in alignment with ServiceNow CSDM standards.
- Support onboarding and ongoing maintenance of Business Applications, Application Services, and related infrastructure records.
- Monitor CMDB data quality and remediate accuracy, completeness, and compliance issues.
- Review and validate data from ServiceNow Discovery and integrations; assist with identification and reconciliation issues.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and service owners to ensure accurate ownership, lifecycle status, and relationships.
- Support CMDB audits, documentation, and standard operating procedures required for a regulated healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications- Experience working with ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM (CSDM 4.0 preferred).
- Understanding of service modeling concepts (Business Application vs. Application Service).
- Experience supporting CMDB data quality, governance, or audits.
- Familiarity with identification, reconciliation, and multiple data sources (Discovery, imports, integrations).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a regulated or enterprise IT environment.
Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeThe Service Operations Engineer (SOE) has mastered multiple areas of service management and can effectively manage the performance of these areas effectively. The SOE is recognized as the subject matter expertise within the Service Operations organization and across all of the technology team. The SOE also recognizes proactively opportunities for improvement and can effectively design and implement process improvements. This person serves as a mentor, coach, and point of escalation for the Service Operations Analysts
