Position Title: IT Security Analystand Accountabilities:Develop and maintain incident response processes and proceduresReview, investigate, and respond to security alertsAssist in management of incident response tracking platformMonitor and improve JTEKT endpoint security platformMonitor and improve JTEKT centralized security logging architectureCreate and maintain JTEKT SOP catalog for in scope processesPeriodically perform security assessment activities in order to gauge JTEKT security posture and test response proceduresWork with third party security vendors to improve delivered servicesCreate incident response metrics for tracking program efficiency and maturity Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesStructure/Level: TechGrade: 105Full Time/Part Time: FTFLSA Status: ExemptHourly/Salaried: Salaried Purpose:As an active member of the Information Security Team, the Information Security Analyst is responsible for daily operations associated with security monitoring within the North American region Activities involved include reviewing active alerts for legitimacy, responding in a timely manner, and working with other members of the IT group and end users to properly remediate any discovered issues Expectations also involve the development, maintenance, and maturity of the incident response platform, SOP catalog, and associated documentation This position will also be required to conduct product, process, and system security assessments on an as needed basis to ensure a well rounded and sufficient security posture is presentEssential DutiesEducation and Experience:Bachelor degree 3 yearsâ¿¿ experience preferred, or Associates degree 5 yearsâ¿¿ experience, or 7 yearsâ¿¿ experience and industry certifications3 years of incident response experience preferredWork Environment/Physical Demands:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWork is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other office equipmentThe performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protectionRecurring travel is not required but in the event of an emergency travel to the location of an incidentEmployee may perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
