Full Job Description
IT Project Manager
The Opportunity:

You know that project managers touch every single part of a business and wear multiple hats, from caring for the customer and their meaningful project goals to participating in business development and being a key contributor to their employees' growth. We're looking for someone like you, a senior program leader that can oversee a varied portfolio of research and data science initiatives supporting Army customers. This role is responsible for end-to-end program execution, including managing budgets, deliverables, subcontractors, and geographically distributed teams across multiple concurrent projects to support one of the DoW's data research and analytics environments.

As a leader on our team, you will provide strong operational leadership, ensure effective staffing, clear scope definition, and consistent delivery while serving as a trusted partner to both customers and internal teams. You will oversee the delivery of data engineering, data science, research, and enterprise platform IT operations. As you guide a team of data architects, data engineers, and data scientists, you'll partner with customers to support operating an efficient and effective analytical or AI platform for critical research programs. In addition to driving performance, you will play a key role in shaping strategy, identifying innovative solutions, and supporting the growth and sustainment of the program within a dynamic research environment. You'll move quickly in an exciting and fluid environment to lead the Agile development of a project roadmap, establish project milestones, and implement metrics to track progress of efforts while bringing people together to make a tangible difference.

Work with us to transform the future of digital AI or data platforms.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience planning, directing, coordinating, and managing programs such as data platforms, engineering, data science, enterprise analytics, and solution architecture

  • 8+ years of experience with leadership, including leading dispersed cross-functional teams in the areas of engineering, architecture, analytics, and AI/ML, including subcontractors
  • 8+ years of experience leading the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data platforms and analytics
  • Experience leveraging client relationships, market knowledge, and government acquisition best practices to position the Army account and Army customers for continued growth, opportunity wins, and long-term initiatives to advance AI or research, defining scope of work, and developing schedules, plans of action, and ROM estimates to drive successful program execution and risk management
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and their application within complex research and data science environments, and data quality standards, governance, and best practices to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance across analytical and research efforts
  • Ability to manage large programs and interface with senior DoD clients
  • Ability to recruit, hire, and strategically staff high performing teams aligned to mission needs and evolving project demands
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to interact with a broad group of clients and staff professionally, and deliver presentations to executives, clients, and professional peers
  • Bachelor's degree in a CS, Engineering, or Mathematics field preferred; Master's degree in a CS, Engineering, or Mathematics field a plus
