IT Project Manager

Location: Hybrid / Hillsborough, NC

About the Role

Sports Endeavors is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our PMO. While the PMO sits within the IT organization, it functions as a hybrid PMO supporting initiatives across the broader business, including contact center operations, web platforms, warehouse systems, and various technology implementations. This role reports to the Director of CX & PMO and is ideal for an excellent team player who brings a strong sense of ownership to their work and can build trust and collaborate effectively across diverse business units. This is not a role for someone who manages from a distance. We need someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves, navigating ambiguity, and adapting their approach as project needs shift.

What You'll Do
  • Lead projects spanning multiple areas of the business, including contact center initiatives, web project work, warehouse system implementations, and other technology rollouts
  • Provide structure to the business using a variety of frameworks, including Scrum, Agile, and Waterfall, adapting your approach to fit each project and business area
  • Define project scope, objectives, and timelines in partnership with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Build clear project plans and documentation, track progress against milestones, and ensure successful handoff and adoption once a project goes live
  • Support change management efforts, helping teams build awareness and buy in as new processes or solutions are introduced
  • Take full ownership of project delivery, driving work forward while escalating risks and roadblocks appropriately
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa
  • Assist with testing and QA efforts as needed, including coordinating test plans and tracking defects
  • Manage project plans, risks, issues, and changes across concurrent workstreams
  • Use tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Figma, and other project tools to track progress, manage workflows, and report status
  • Build strong working relationships across IT, business operations, and other departments, acting as a connector between technical and non-technical teams
  • Stay curious about emerging technology, including AI and automation, and look for opportunities to apply it to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and elevate how the team delivers projects

What We're Looking For
  • Experience managing technology or software-related projects, with a working understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements through testing and deployment
  • Experience in project management, project coordination, or operations roles, with a track record of taking ownership and driving projects to completion
  • An excellent team player who builds trust easily and collaborates well across varied teams and business functions
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to adapt quickly as priorities, scope, or business needs change
  • Working knowledge of project frameworks (Scrum, Agile, Waterfall) and the judgment to apply the right one for the situation
  • Familiarity with project tools such as Monday.com, Jira, and Figma
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple, sometimes competing, priorities across different parts of the organization
  • Experience managing technology or software-related projects, with a working understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements through testing and deployment
  • A continuous improvement mindset and genuine curiosity about how AI and new technology can make project delivery faster, smarter, and more effective
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; project management certification (CAPM, PMP, Agile, or Scrum Master) preferred
  • Candidates local to the Raleigh-Durham area or able to commute onsite as needed are preferred
