Job #219556 Chipton-Ross is seeking an IT Project Manager 3 for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience. Master's Degree and 3 years of experience. Ph.D. and 0 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Must be fluent in English (speaking and writing) with strong verbal and written communication skills. • Understanding of IT Operations: Servers (physical and virtual), Networking, Storage, and overall ITIL is a plus. • Understanding of on-prem and cloud hosted applications. • Experience in running IT projects (Basic principles of Project Management (PMP is a plus)). • Ability to collaborate with technical minded folks. • Project management skills. • Good collaboration skills. • Ability to lead a diverse team. • PPE: Steel toes, hardhat, ear protection, and safety glasses. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations. Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment. Keeps current on advances in the field of IT. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree is required. School must be accredited. WORK HOURS 5/40 workweek. 7:30AM to 4PM.
