Full Job Description
The HDR IT Project Manager II delivers complex, higher risk IT projects independently and provides mentorship to junior project managers. This role is responsible for broad scope initiatives with significant business impact for multiple stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Lead medium to large IT projects with minimal oversight • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations using project management tools (ServiceNow SPM). Manages dependencies, estimates, and replanning activities independently. • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability. • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and manage changes to project scope or timelines. Escalates appropriately based on impact thresholds. • Proactively manages team communication, clarifying dependencies, risks, and changes as they arise. Tailor ceremonies to improve engagement and delivery effectiveness. • Negotiates resources, timelines, and priorities across teams to meet project goals. Leverage KPIs to inform trade-offs and actions. • Track outcomes and validate delivered value. • Facilitate executive level status reporting. Presents risks, impacts, and options to leaders with confidence. • Leverage quantitative project data (e.g., schedule performance, cost variance, resource utilization, risk trends, and delivery metrics) to analyze project health, identify risks and opportunities early, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations that inform stakeholder decision-making and improve delivery outcomes. • Foster a high performing team environment by leading with emotional intelligence. Inspire, motivate, and support team members through change and challenges.
