Job Summary

The IT Procurement Manager leads Sundt's technology procurement operations, ensuring disciplined purchasing controls, effective vendor and contract management, accurate licensing and asset records, and sound technology-spend stewardship. This role manages the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for technology products and services and leads procurement staff in delivering responsive, compliant, and cost-effective service to IT and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administer technology contracts and subscriptions; coordinate contract review and execution with IT Leadership, Finance/Accounting, and business leaders; maintain visibility into contractual obligations, renewal dates, pricing, service levels, and commitments.
2. Develop and manage technology-procurement budgets, forecasts, and spend reporting; provide timely visibility into spend trends, renewal commitments, budget variances, and cost drivers.
3. Establish and maintain scalable procurement, vendor-governance, and record-management processes; prepare reports and recommendations that clearly communicate purchasing, financial, contractual, and operational considerations to technical and business stakeholders.
4. Identify and implement savings, cost-avoidance, and spend-optimization opportunities through negotiations, demand management, supplier consolidation, license-utilization analysis, and improved purchasing controls.
5. Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, renewals, and vendor-performance management for software, cloud services, hardware, telecommunications, managed services, and other technology products and services.
6. Lead the IT procurement function and procurement staff; establish clear performance expectations, coach team members, prioritize work, allocate resources, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational processes.
7. Maintain accurate software-license, contract, and IT asset inventory records; monitor entitlements, usage, renewals, and compliance to support informed purchasing and utilization decisions.
8. Manage end-to-end technology purchasing activities, including requisitions, competitive sourcing, approvals, purchase orders, receiving coordination, records, and compliance with established purchasing policies and controls.
9. Use procurement analytics, workflow automation, and approved AI-enabled tools to improve purchasing-cycle efficiency, strengthen spend and renewal visibility, identify software-license utilization opportunities, and reduce manual administrative work.

Minimum Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, finance, information technology, or a related field; equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
2. Demonstrated experience managing purchasing processes, purchase orders, supplier relationships, contract renewals, and spend analysis in a complex organizational environment.
3. Experience leading, coaching, or coordinating the work of procurement, purchasing, or administrative staff.
4. Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, contract administration, technology purchasing, or related discipline.
5. Proficiency with procurement, contract-management, IT asset-management, and financial-analysis tools; ability to apply workflow automation and approved AI-enabled capabilities to improve operational efficiency and decision support.
6. Strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, communication, and customer-service skills; ability to exercise sound judgment with financial, vendor, and contractual information.
7. Working knowledge of procurement controls, contract and subscription management, software licensing, IT asset management, budgeting, forecasting, and vendor-performance practices.

Note: Job Description is subject to change at any time and may include other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
