The Job You Will Perform: This role supports successful IT project delivery by leading Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities that help employees and stakeholders prepare for, understand, and adopt technology and process changes. The position partners with project managers, IT teams, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and communications partners to drive readiness, engagement, communications, training, adoption, and sustainment.
The role makes day-to-day decisions for assigned OCM workplans, communications, stakeholder follow-ups, readiness tracking, and training coordination, while escalating scope changes, project risks, resource constraints, and leadership decisions as needed.
Success in this role is measured by timely OCM delivery, clear stakeholder communications and learning materials, effective readiness and training support, and appropriate escalation of risks, decisions, and support needs.
Key Accountabilities- Develop and maintain OCM workplans, deliverables, timelines, and action trackers for assigned projects.
- Support change impact assessments and stakeholder assessments, translating findings into readiness activities, adoption plans, and sustainment actions.
- Coordinate OCM activities for medium to large sized IT projects.
- Can relate business and IT objectives to teams to support planning activities.
- May act as a team leader on selected assignments to include: preparation of OCM project plans and coordination of multiple resources reporting status
- Maintain stakeholder lists, engagement trackers, action logs, feedback summaries, and readiness documentation.
- Draft audience-specific communications, project updates, meeting recaps, leader talking points, FAQs, reminders, and adoption messages.
- Support communication planning by maintaining communication calendars and assisting with message timing, reviews, and distribution planning.
- Support development of training materials, job aids, quick reference guides, leader guides, facilitator notes, and learner resources.
- Deliver project-related training sessions, workshops, demos, office hours, and reinforcement sessions for impacted audiences.
- Track readiness activities, risks, feedback, and follow-up actions while supporting go-live, hypercare, adoption, and sustainment.
- Leads overall process improvement within assigned area of responsibility
Key Challenges: - Balancing multiple project demands while keeping OCM deliverables, communications, training activities, and readiness actions on track.
- Influencing and coordinating work across project teams, business stakeholders, and support partners without direct authority.
- Translating technical project information into clear, actionable messages and learning materials for non-technical audiences.
- Identifying stakeholder readiness risks early and helping project teams address resistance, confusion, training gaps, or adoption barriers before implementation or go-live.
The Skills You Will Bring: Education and General Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, Information Systems, Learning & Development, or related field.
- 6-8+ years of experience leading or supporting change management, stakeholder engagement, project communications, training, readiness, and adoption activities for complex projects, enterprise initiatives, or transformation efforts.
- Change management certification or training, such as Prosci, ACMP, or equivalent, preferred.
Functional Knowledge and Experience- Ability to navigate organizational structures, stakeholder groups, and decision-making channels to support project execution.
- Experience working with senior leaders and leadership teams to support project communications, readiness planning, and change adoption.
- Background supporting IT project delivery, including ERP, SAP, digital transformation, infrastructure, or enterprise application initiatives.
- Working knowledge of technology, process, system, and business change initiatives that require stakeholder engagement, communications, training, readiness, or adoption support.
- Proven ability to develop practical change enablement materials, including job aids, quick reference guides, training materials, FAQs, communication drafts, and readiness trackers.
- Skilled in facilitating training sessions, workshops, demos, office hours, and employee enablement sessions for impacted audiences.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to create clear, audience-focused project communications, learning materials, and readiness updates.
- Strong organization and follow-through, including the ability to coordinate meetings, manage stakeholder follow-ups, and support OCM deliverables across multiple teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, track deliverables and action items, and escalate risks, issues, decisions, or support needs when needed.
Technical:- Ability to maintain project trackers, communication calendars, stakeholder lists, readiness logs, and action item registers.
- Leverage approved AI tools to improve efficiency, scale OCM support, and strengthen the quality and consistency of project communications, training materials, and readiness deliverables.
