Requisition SummaryThis position is responsible for monitoring mainframe batch processes and taking corrective action as required. The analyst conducts diagnostic troubleshooting, creates Incident Reports for next-level support and tracks incidents to ensure remediation and prevention of recurring events. The analyst must be a self-driven problem solver, and a great team player. This is a non-exempt position that may be asked to provide additional coverage on a different shift to include weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.
The Enterprise Command Center (ECC) also monitors the data center critical facilities infrastructure, provides video surveillance, and manages security/access to the building and computer room. An IT Operations Analyst plays a critical role on a global team that is responsible for ensuring the health and availability of PACCAR's business critical applications
Job Functions / Responsibilities- Monitor, investigate issues and take corrective action for Mainframe Batch Processing using distributed scheduling tools, including BMC-Control-M, ISPF, JCLPLUS, FTP/SFTP, Aviva Emulators, JES2, MVS COMMANDS,
- Assist with the support of cross-platform administration including WinTel, UNIX, Mainframe, AS400, Linux
- Transfer technical knowledge, processes and procedures, mentor junior staff
- Design and implement recovery procedures for the PACCAR IT Knowledge Base
- Perform proactive measures for the improvement of operational efficiency and increase ECC incident resolution rates
- Participate in or lead projects as assigned
- Provide off-hours Help Desk support
Qualifications- 5+ years hands-on IT technical experience
- Experience with CICS, IMS, DB2, DBRC, SMS, DBCTRL, IBM Utilities, TSO CLIST, REXX, JCL, RACF, FDRABR, ADRDSSU, and VTCS, CONNECT DIRECT, BMC-CTD, BMC-ISPW, EDI, IMS UTILITIES, EZTRIEVE, SYNCSORT, OMEGAMON, DFHSM, and DADS
- Experience with iSeries-AS/400 Console
- Familiar with Database platforms, specifically IMS, DB2, SQL and Oracle
- Acute attention to detail
- Team player; good customer service skills
- Familiarity with Critical Incident and Problem Management processes
- Experience with Diagnostic Troubleshooting
- Excellent Communication skills: ability to write Technical Materials to develop Procedures, Resolutions and Documentation
EducationUndergraduate degree in IT, Computer Science or related field desired
Physical Demands- Sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time
- Lifting up to 55 pounds
- Team lifting large objects such as servers using lifting equipment
- Possible pushing, pulling, crawling, bending, reaching, grasping, twisting, and occasional ladder use or stepstool work

Additional Job Board InformationWe carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $77,700 - $116,200 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above as well as a holiday gift.
