This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in complex, always-active environments and is motivated by delivering reliable, secure, and scalable network infrastructure that supports critical utility operations.

As the NES Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for end-to-end network infrastructure across logical and physical environments. Success requires strong network engineering expertise, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to deliver large-scale change while maintaining stability in a live environment.

How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Provide first-level leadership for the NES team, including priorities, performance management, coaching, workforce planning, and accountability for outcomes
  • Develop staff while reinforcing growth, operational discipline, and reliable support for critical infrastructure
  • Drive major network platform migrations, upgrades, lifecycle work, and transformation efforts while protecting stability in live environments
  • Establish and enforce engineering, documentation, change management, and operational standards across logical and physical network environments
  • Balance incidents, ongoing operations, and project delivery while maintaining service continuity
  • Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, facilities, and business partners to align priorities and deliver outcomes
  • Oversee network connectivity and readiness across enterprise systems, OT/SCADA environments, data centers, communications rooms, colocation facilities, and external partners
  • Oversee structured cabling, rack and cabinet standards, physical network infrastructure, and facility-based readiness across CSU locations
  • Manage vendor relationships, statements of work, contracts, lifecycle planning, capital delivery, and external resources supporting network work
  • Ensure network security controls, segmentation, firewall standards, audit requirements, and OT/IT cybersecurity expectations are applied consistently
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience planning for network-dependent systems and services
  • Guide incident response and escalations, ensuring timely decisions and coordinated resolution
  • Own capital and operating budget planning and provide input to technology roadmaps for network infrastructure and related services

What You Bring:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field-or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in network engineering, infrastructure, or closely related technology environments
  • Experience with vendor management, lifecycle planning, capital delivery, and coordination of external resources supporting network work
  • Experience leading major network platform migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle transitions while maintaining stability in live production environments
  • Experience leading network engineering teams responsible for production enterprise, data center, or critical infrastructure networks
  • Ability to work across IT, cybersecurity, operations, facilities, and business partners to align priorities and deliver outcomes
  • Technical depth to guide network design, operational standards, escalations, and infrastructure decisions across complex environments
  • Strong foundation across routing, switching, data center networking, structured cabling, and network security concepts
  • Experience supporting high-availability environments where reliability, change control, and operational continuity are critical
  • Experience overseeing both physical and logical network infrastructure, including architecture, standards, documentation, and operational readiness
  • Experience with data centers, communications rooms, colocation, or other facilities where network availability and site readiness are essential
  • Ability to set standards, drive accountability, and lead teams through competing operational, project, and support demands

Preferred Experience:
  • Cisco enterprise networking experience, including Catalyst, Nexus, wireless, ACI, or comparable data center networking platforms
  • Network security experience with Palo Alto or equivalent platforms supporting segmentation, firewall policy, VPN, and secure connectivity
