Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team in Kincardine. This role is responsible for overseeing and advancing Superheat's IT operations to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with business strategy. This role will work closely with senior management to drive innovation, manage infrastructure, and lead the IT team in supporting the organization's evolving technology needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, and support day-to-day activities of the IT team, including performance management, coaching, training, and development
  • Provide technical leadership and serve as a mentor and subject-matter expert across IT initiatives and projects
  • Plan, develop, implement, and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure
  • Oversee installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and performance of servers, operating systems, and network infrastructure
  • Administer and maintain systems including SAN and network hardware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Windows Server (Enterprise & Standard), Microsoft SQL Server, Office 365 / Azure, Microsoft Teams Phone and VoIP/SIP/PBX services, Sophos and other security hardware and software, SSL certificates and DNS services
  • Manage system automation, performance optimization, security controls, backups, disaster recovery, and failure analysis
  • Oversee Identity and Access Management (IAM), IT Service Management (ITSM), and security frameworks to ensure compliance
  • Maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and internet connectivity, providing troubleshooting and support as required
  • Create and maintain systems documentation, procedures, and technical standards
  • Coordinate hiring of Network Support Technicians in partnership with Human Resources
  • Conduct staff evaluations, manage performance concerns, and address disciplinary matters in consultation with Human Resources
  • Ensure IT staff are adhering to established procedures and best practices
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement, licensing, and contracts for hardware, software, and IT services
  • Oversee software license management, data backup and replication, web servers, network security, servers, UPS systems, and peripheral equipment
  • Participate in after-hours or on-call support as needed
