SUMMARY OF POSITION:The ERP Specialist supports the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization's ERP system. This role provides functional and technical support to end users, resolves system issues, ensures data integrity, and develops reports to support business operations. This individual will work independently on most support and reporting activities while collaborating with senior team members on more complex system enhancements and projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: - Provide functional support to ERP users across departments (e.g., purchasing, inventory, production, finance).
- Independently diagnose and resolve most ERP-related issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Maintain and administer user access, roles, and system configurations.
- Develop and maintain reports and queries using ERP tools such as BAQs and SQL.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks, support audits.
- Document issues, resolutions, and business processes.
- Participate in system testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business needs and process improvements.
- Support and participate in ERP system enhancements and implementation activities
- Provide user guidance and contribute to training materials.
- Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of ERP system experience (Epicor preferred; others acceptable).
- Experience with SQL, BAQ, or similar reporting tools.
- Understanding business processes (purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, finance).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:- Primarily desk-based work using a computer.
- Occasional movement within office and manufacturing areas.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:- Office environment with occasional exposure to shop floor.
- PPE may be required in production areas.
- The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials commonly used in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses and shoes, gloves, ear plugs/covers, mask, cleanroom suit).
