Full Job Description
Responsibilities

The Epic Trainer is responsible for conducting training for clinical and non-clinical end users in Epic under the direction of the supervisor. Training is typically conducted in the classroom as well as in the practice. The trainer is responsible for achieving an in-depth understanding of the software, policies, and procedures, workflows, and must be credentialed in the application that they are teaching.

Responsible for the setup and breakdown of the training classes they are scheduled to facilitate, including inventorying and distributed participant supplies. Responsible for quality control, including administering a proficiency assessment and class evaluation at the end of each session, and forwarding ideas to improve the effectiveness of the training to the rest of the team. Must employ excellent communication skills in sharing information with users within the department

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $33.88-$52.53 hourly. Minimum Experience:
  • Clinical Experience, Adult Education Experience/ Microsoft Office Experience/Webex Experience

Required Certification/Registration:
  • Epic Trainer Credentialed preferred but not required: (will train the right candidate)
  • Level 1 - At least 2 years of relevant clinical, technical, educational or operational experience required
  • Level 2 - At least 5 years of relative clinical, technical, educational or operational experience and Epic Credential within 1 year of hire required
  • Level 3 - Greater than 5 years of relevant clinical, technical or operational experience and Epic certification at time of hire required.
