OverviewWe are seeking a motivated recent graduate to join our team as an Associate Business Analyst supporting the Sales organization. This is an entry-level, development-focused role designed for someone early in their career who is curious about how businesses sell, wants to learn how technology supports commercial teams, and is eager to build a foundation in business analysis.
You will work alongside experienced Business Analysts, IT partners, and Sales stakeholders to learn our end-to-end sales process, help document how work gets done today, and contribute to projects that make our pipeline and CRM easier to use. No prior professional experience with CRM platforms is expected. What matters most is strong analytical thinking, clear written and verbal communication, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to ask questions and learn quickly.
This is not a technical development role. It is a business-facing role with a technology lens, with structured mentorship and a clear path toward a full Business Analyst position.
What You'll Do
Learning the Business
- Build a working understanding of the end-to-end sales process, including pipeline stages, lead qualification, handoffs between teams, and how deals progress from prospect to close.
- Shadow Sales team members and Business Analysts in working sessions, interviews, and requirements discussions to learn how business needs are surfaced and documented.
- Develop familiarity with the company’s products, customers, and commercial priorities to provide useful context for analysis.
Analysis & Documentation Support
- Assist in mapping current-state sales workflows and drafting process maps, swimlane diagrams, and flowcharts under the guidance of a senior analyst.
- Take structured notes in stakeholder meetings and convert them into clear summaries, action items, and draft requirements for review.
- Help maintain business process documentation, requirements backlogs, and project artifacts so they stay accurate and current.
- Support the drafting of user stories and acceptance criteria, learning to write requirements that are specific, testable, and tied to a business outcome.
Data & Reporting Support
- Pull, organize, and summarize sales data in Excel to help identify trends, gaps, and data quality issues in the pipeline.
- Build straightforward reports, charts, and summaries that help the team understand pipeline health, conversion, and process performance.
- Flag inconsistencies in CRM data and assist with cleanup and data quality efforts.
CRM & Project Support
- Support CRM enhancement projects by helping document requirements, track open questions, and follow up on decisions.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT): executing test scenarios, documenting results, logging defects, and tracking issues to resolution.
- Help prepare business-facing materials such as release notes, quick reference guides, and training documentation.
- Assist with day-to-day support questions from Sales users, escalating to senior team members as needed.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate clearly and professionally with Sales, IT, and leadership, both in writing and verbally.
- Provide timely status updates on assigned tasks, and raise questions or blockers early rather than waiting.
- Work collaboratively across teams and accept coaching and feedback as part of the development process.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or expected within the current academic year) in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break a problem into parts and think through it logically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to summarize information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (sorting, filtering, pivot tables, basic formulas) and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated willingness to ask questions, seek out answers, and learn new tools quickly.
- Professional maturity, reliability, and a collaborative attitude.
