Full Job Description
Results-driven IT Business Systems Lead with deep expertise in ERP systems, manufacturing processes, integrations, and system administration. Skilled at analyzing complex business challenges, troubleshooting issues, and translating operational needs into effective technology solutions. Demonstrates a strong ownership mindset, leading initiatives from concept through execution while balancing strategic systems leadership with hands-on support. Effective collaborator with the ability to build strong relationships across business, technical, and vendor teams, prioritize competing demands, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-growing environment.
RESPOSIBILITIES:
• Own the day-to-day performance, reliability, configuration, administration, and support of Barrett's ERP (Plex), MES, and related business systems.
• Serve as the primary business systems partner to manufacturing, supply chain, finance, quality, and other teams, translating business needs into practical technology solutions.
• Manage relationships with ERP, MES, integration, development, and other technology vendors, including support, prioritization, escalations, and delivery.
• Lead and coordinate system enhancements, upgrades, new modules, integrations, and process-improvement initiatives.
• Partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize business systems initiatives as needs evolve.
• Evaluate systems and business processes to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, simplification, and improved user experience.
• Oversee system integrations, EDI processes, and reliable data flow between business applications.
• Partner with IT Operations to help ensure the integrity, availability, security, backup, recovery, and continuity of business systems and data.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of complex system issues, engaging internal resources and vendors as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and knowledge-sharing practices to reduce organizational dependency on individual system knowledge.
• Partner with data and analytics resources to support reliable reporting and access to business information.
• Provide leadership and guidance around business systems and support the future growth of the business systems function.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's in IT/IS/Business/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years supporting/administering/implementing ERP, MES, or enterprise systems
- Manufacturing ERP experience (strongly preferred)
- Plex ERP experience (strongly preferred) or ability to ramp quickly on a new platform
- Experience with vendors and system improvement initiatives
Location
This position is based in Little Falls, Minnesota, and an on-site presence is strongly preferred due to the role's partnership with manufacturing and operational teams. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, technical expertise, and overall fit for the role.
A hybrid arrangement may be considered for the right candidate. Candidates should be located within Minnesota or within reasonable traveling distance of Little Falls and able to be on-site regularly and as business needs require.
