Must be within a commutable distance.PRIMARY FUNCTION:The Application Analyst in Medical Imaging is responsible for providing technical production support and system administration to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of enterprise imaging applications across ChristianaCare. This role is critical to ensuring clinical continuity, patient safety, and regulatory compliance across imaging systems enterprise-wide.
The primary focus of this role is the support of cardiovascular systems
This role serves as a key technical resource supporting clinical and business systems within Imaging, Heart & Vascular, and Cancer Center services, with responsibility for the full application lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and ongoing optimization. The analyst provides day-to-day operational support for imaging platforms including iSite PACS, Oracle Cardiovascular, Fuji Synapse Cardiovascular, PowerScribe, Epiphany Cardio Server, and other associated systems.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Application support for multiple software applications, identifying and resolving application issues effectively and in a timely manner.
- HL7 Interface design and documentation (Cloverleaf).
- Instrument interface design and documentation with a variety laboratory instruments and analyzers.
- Analyzes computing needs in the department and configures current applications or develops new applications to support them. Incorporates feedback from the appropriate departmental personnel as applications are configured or developed.
- Seeks input from other Christiana Care technical resources and/or vendor input to resolve application issues when appropriate.
- Develops expertise in the applications used in the supported departments. Becomes knowledgeable regarding the departmental work processes and the overall IS environment. Uses this knowledge to ensure that systems operation contributes to optimization of work processes and patient care.
- Participates in an "on call" rotation, responding to support calls in a timely manner
- Provides input into or may lead the development of achievements, work you've done, project plans and timelines to assure that technical tasks/aspects are addressed.
- Participates in the preparation and execution of test plans and test scripts, including reiterations as necessary. Ensures that results are documented, and feedback is provided to responsible parties. Ensures that the application is adequately tested, and all high-priority issues are resolved or worked around in a satisfactory manner before the system begins production operations.
- Creates and maintains thorough electronic documentation regarding software applications and technical environment.
- Support the key software systems used by the Christiana Care Heart & Vascular and Imaging: iSite PACS, Fuji Synapse Cardiovascular, PowerScribe, Baxter Cardioserver, Merge Hemo, and MacLab.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, science or closely related field, or commensurate academic & work experience
- Experience with PACS systems, CVPACS and EPIC is desirable.
- Experience with HL7
- Experience in a Cerner PowerChart and/or Soft Computer environment is desirable.
- A combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Annual Compensation Range $85,862.40 - $137,384
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
