Full Job Description
Location: Whippany, NJ
Salary: $110,000 + Benefits
Full Time - Hybrid: In office Monday, Tuesday and Thursday

Position Overview
Overseeing the daily operations of the Israel & Overseas department in Greater MetroWest NJ and supports the implementation of Federation's Israel and global engagement priorities. The Senior Manager works closely with Israel & Overseas colleagues, Federation departments, community partners, and volunteer leadership, with responsibility for Israel-related events, budget, programs, and lay leadership stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day work, priorities, coordination, and calendar of the Israel & Overseas NJ team.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of major Israel-related events and community initiatives, including Yom Ha'atzmaut, Yom HaZikaron, Israel Parade and more.
  • Develop and steward relationships with Israel & Overseas lay leaders, committee chairs, and other key volunteers.
  • Staff relevant committees and work with volunteer leaders to develop agendas, priorities, and meaningful opportunities for engagement.
  • Coordinate closely with the Israel-based team and other Federation departments to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Work closely with FRD and JCF teams to share information, stories of annual allocations cycle and support designated giving efforts.
  • Represent Israel & Overseas in internal and community meetings as needed.
  • Oversee effective departmental processes, communication, follow-up, and coordination.
Skills Needed:
  • Knowledge of the Greater MetroWest community and Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ mission.
  • Knowledge of Israel
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, oral and written.
  • Eagerness to roll up sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Sense of curiosity and desire to identify new opportunities that benefit the overall organization.
  • Ability to think strategically about role and impact in community, ask thoughtful questions, follow through consistently, and manage multiple relationships with donors and colleagues in department & in Israel.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with volunteer leaders and colleagues across all areas of Federation.
  • Understanding of/experience in Federation is helpful but is not essential.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of volunteers, donors, and staff.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent organization, technology skills, and eagerness to learn and use database tools for donor follow-up.
