What You'll Do
- Lead and develop a high-performing laboratory team through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Partner with the Medical Director to support quality patient care and laboratory operations.
- Oversee complex blood bank testing, quality control, validations, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure testing accuracy, resolve technical issues, and maintain quality standards.
- Manage training, competency assessments, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Support department budgets, supply purchases, and operational excellence.
Schedule
Monday-Friday | Day Shift
Flexible start and end times based on business needs. Minimal on-call responsibilities and no routine holiday coverage.
Compensation
$80,000-$100,000 annually (based on experience)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a biological or related field and SBB (ASCP) equivalent required. State license may be required where applicable
- 5+ years of high-complexity blood bank experience.
- Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
