Who we are looking forWe are looking for an energetic professional to join our team of Investment Strategists in our Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) business unit, which is part of State Street Investment Management's global, multi-asset Investment Solutions Group (ISG). As an Investment Strategist, you will serve in an investment advisory capacity for OCIO clients in the not-for-profit institutional channel, with a particular focus on planned giving and charitable asset management investment solutions clients. The position reports to the Head of OCIO Investment Strategy.
In this role, you will work directly with our charitable asset management and planned giving clients to design, analyze, and develop their overall asset allocation strategies to help achieve their desired outcomes and mission-driven objectives. You will work closely with the Investment Strategist team on overall portfolio construction, risk assessment, and support for client investment policy and governance frameworks. The Investment Strategist meets with clients and their committees to conduct investment portfolio reviews, provide performance updates, and communicate our market outlook. As a member of our Investment Strategist team, you will also collaborate with our manager research team across public and private markets in the portfolio construction design process.
Responsibilities and Expectations:- Collaborate with our OCIO and CAM Relationship Managers to address any client strategic asset allocation issues, concerns, and opportunities
- Help develop long-term, customized client strategic asset allocation plans
- Participate actively in the preparation and presentation of client deliverables
- Communicate our capital market outlook and tactical positioning
- Coordinate with our operational support team to ensure accuracy and quality control of client reporting deliverables
- Meet with prospective clients as part of our commercial go-to-market activities
Position Requirements:- Knowledge of and experience working with not-for-profit and planned giving clients, charitable gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts
- Investment management or portfolio management experience within a multi-asset class framework
- Familiarity with asset allocation and stochastic modeling platforms and best practices
- Understanding of investment accounting principles, performance measurement, and attribution
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently, with the aptitude to self-direct and set priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized, deadline-oriented, and attentive to detail
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate recommendations and rationale to internal stakeholders and clients and to influence outcomes
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a business-building environment with changing priorities
- Self-motivated individual with intellectual curiosity, a high energy level, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated personal and professional integrity
Salary Range: $120,000 - $202,500 Annual
