Job Title: Investment Manager / Wealth Advisor

Reports Title: EVP, Director Wealth Management

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico

Exempt Status: Exempt

SUMMARY OF JOB:

Assist clients and prospects with wealth planning and investment strategies utilizing existing the resources of bank partnership with RIA; uses wealth planning as key value proposition in developing new wealth relationships. Job expectations include helping teams to drive client retention and business development, while mentoring associates

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works to understand the client's situation and circumstances to develop and recommend an investment strategy tailored to client's unique goals and objectives
  • Manages trade execution, risk management and compliance in a fiduciary setting, and investment reviews
  • Continued engagement with clients to review investment performance and anticipated market changes based on economic and industry analysis
  • Stays up to date on current market conditions and economic trends to anticipate and mitigate investment risks
  • Develops meaningful relationships with clients
  • Prepares and presents Financial Plans for clients and prospects


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field; graduate degree or other related designation preferred

Work Experience: 10+ years of experience in high net-worth financial planning and discretionary portfolio management

Licenses/Accreditations: CFP, CFA or CPA designation desirable

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills; experience creating reports with financial planning software

Preferred Skills/Experiences: Strong analytical, presentation, written and verbal communications skills; advanced advisory and interpersonal qualities; self-starter with high initiative and accountability; advanced knowledge of financial, tax, and wealth planning. Knowledge of fiduciary standards, principles and applicable laws and regulations acquired through training or seminars.
