Investment Banking Vice President, HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., Houston, TX: Responsible to serve as primary point of contact for clients in the power, utilities, and renewable energy sector, addressing day-to-day inquiries and supporting ongoing transactions. Lead client meetings by presenting tailored sector updates and transaction materials, proactively identifying client-specific opportunities and responding to real-time questions or feedback during presentations. Oversee transaction execution by managing high-level communications with clients and senior external advisors, anticipating potential deal issues, and ensuring alignment between client objectives and HSBC's internal teams throughout the process. Review and approve financial models and valuation analyses prepared by junior team members, ensuring sector-specific assumptions and methodologies are accurate. Manage deal team workflow, delegate tasks to associates and analysts, and oversee quality and timeliness of deliverables Analyze power market fundamentals, regulatory changes, and sector trends to provide actionable insights to clients and support senior bankers in strategic discussions. Support Directors and Managing Directors in client coverage efforts, including preparing business development materials and participating in client meetings.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $200,000.00 to $210,000.00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, management or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience.
Must have 5 years experience in Investment banking.
Must have 3 years experience in:
- Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, including creating model projections, using trading and transaction comparables, discounted cash flow analysis, LBO analysis, merger modeling,
and sector specific valuation models. - Drafting marketing memoranda and developing an equity or credit story depending on the securities being raised.
- Coverage of power, utilities, and renewable energy sectors, including capital structure analysis and M&A evaluation for accretive, high return capital deployment.
- Financial modeling and valuation of regulated utilities, independent power producers (IPPs), and renewable generation assets including wind, solar, storage, and related infrastructure.
- Project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and capital market transactions within the renewable energy space.
- Power market fundamentals, regulatory frameworks, offtake structures, and key risk drivers including merchant exposure, contract tenors, counterparty risk and tax credits.
FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 licenses.
Domestic travel required up to 20% for client meetings, due diligence, and transaction execution.
