Full Job Description
We are seeking a talented professional to join FMI Capital Advisors, the firm's investment banking group and registered broker-dealer. Clients engage FMI for our unmatched industry knowledge and access to leading firms. As an Analyst, you will serve as a generalist supporting multiple sector coverage teams, playing a key role in each engagement. Successful Analysts thrive in our collaborative environment that values initiative, curiosity, and teamwork. This role is intended for candidates with prior relevant experience (typically 1-2+ years) in investment banking or a similar fast-paced, analytical professional services environment supporting complex transactions, strategic initiatives, or consulting engagements. Ideal candidates have had exposure to live deals and the M&A process.

This is a full-time opportunity based in our Denver, Colorado office. This role is intended for candidates who have already completed their undergraduate degree and are available to start immediately.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting industry, market and company-specific research
  • Performing financial analysis and financial modeling
  • Preparing transaction marketing materials, including pitch books, teasers, confidential information memorandums, and management presentations
  • Conducting preliminary valuation work
  • Researching investment opportunities and sector themes throughout the construction, infrastructure, and facility services landscape
  • Providing support to members of the investment banking group and other duties as assigned
  • Managing multiple projects efficiently and independently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Supporting multiple sector coverage teams in business development activities
  • Meticulously documenting client and transaction activity


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
  • 1-2 years (full-time) work experience required, either in investment banking or a similar fast-paced, analytical professional services environment supporting complex transactions, strategic initiatives, or consulting engagements
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Solid quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in developing and analyzing financial and valuation models
  • Ability to research and analyze industry and company data, trends and news to draw thoughtful and compelling conclusions
  • A "raise your hand" mentality - the first to volunteer for or request a new assignment
  • Demonstrated interest in the building and construction industry, broadly defined
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and independently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills

The base salary for this role is $90,000 plus bonus opportunity.
