Job Summary:
As an Investments Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the evaluation, execution, and ongoing management of private credit investments across a diverse range of strategies, including direct lending, opportunistic credit, and asset-backed opportunities. You will partner closely with senior investment professionals to conduct in-depth analysis, support due diligence efforts, and prepare materials for Investment Committee review.

In this role, you'll also contribute to the ongoing management of the portfolio, including performance monitoring, portfolio construction, and risk analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as legal, accounting, and risk, and engage directly with external partners including asset managers and banks.

This is a highly visible role offering exposure to the full investment lifecycle, ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented professional looking to deepen their experience in private credit within a collaborative and fast-paced investment environment.

This is a hybrid position based in either our Warren, NJ or New York City office working 3 days onsite, 2 remote.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct analysis on new investment opportunities across the private credit spectrum including direct lending, opportunistic, asset backed etc.
  • Support due diligence efforts, including review of diligence materials, legal documentation, financial models, and third-party reports
  • Prepare investment memoranda and materials for Investment Committee review
  • Assist with portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and ongoing management of existing investment
  • Interface with asset managers, banks, and other counterparties on new investment opportunities and existing portfolio positions
  • Liaise with internal teams, including deal execution, accounting, legal, tax, operations, and risk, as part of the investment process
  • Support portfolio construction efforts, including cash flow projections, sector allocation and risk concentration analysis
  • Support ad hoc projects and broader investment team initiatives as needed


Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, alternative investments, private credit, structured credit, or credit research
  • Progress toward CFA designation is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and sound investment judgment
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, intellectual curiosity, and strong work ethic


The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $165,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
