Investment Associate (1980)

OVERVIEW:

Prosperity7 Ventures is the $3bn+ diversified venture fund of Aramco Ventures, backing transformative technology companies across AI, deeptech, and enterprise software globally. Our scale, patient capital, and access to strategic partnerships across the Aramco ecosystem put us in the room for the most competitive deals in the market.

The Investment Associate works across the full deal cycle, supporting diligence through market, competitive, and technology analysis, financial modeling, data room reviews, management interviews, and reference calls. The role also contributes to portfolio reporting and deal origination.

SCOPE:

Identifies and executes investment opportunities within the P7 mandate in North America.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
  • Investment Execution (40%)
    • Support due diligence with senior deal team members: market, competitor, technology, and IP landscaping, financial modeling, data room reviews, management interviews, reference calls, and diligence tracking
    • Draft investment memorandum and presentations for all stage gates leading to an investment
    • Build and maintain investment theses under supervision
  • Portfolio Management (30%)
    • Research and analyze follow-on investment, exit, and shareholder action recommendations
    • Draft memoranda and presentations to Investment Committee for follow-ons and exits
    • Support deal leads on technology deployment and commercialization with Aramco subject matter experts and business units
  • Reporting & Communication (20%)
    • Report portfolio company performance to regional and HQ management
    • Maintain transaction documents to audit standards per the P7 investment handbook
  • Origination (10%)
    • Develop and maintain networks across the startup, venture capital, technology industry, and innovation communities
    • Assist in sourcing deal flow through personal networks, conferences, trade press, and desk research
    • Screen and prioritize opportunities based on quality, strategic fit, and economic soundness
    • Maintain the deal flow & pipeline database


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, management, economics, or finance from a reputable university; master's degree preferred
  • At least four years of experience in venture capital, corporate venture capital, corporate development, consulting, investment banking, or private equity
  • Extremely strong and robust financial modeling and valuation skills
  • Able to evaluate different technologies and their value propositions
  • Working knowledge of market and competitive strategy, technology commercialization, intellectual property, financial analysis, valuation, negotiation, due diligence, and governance
  • Able to run investment screening, market and sector analysis, and preliminary due diligence
  • Able to support deal structuring, documentation, and transaction processes through to close
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with minimum senior supervision: tracks portfolio performance, coordinates data requests with portfolio companies, and ensures accuracy in investment reports and committee materials
  • Venture capital or corporate venture capital experience preferred
  • International experience a plus
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication in English


The anticipated base salary range for this position is $83,520 - $ 165,720. Final base salary for this role is based on several factors, including the individual's geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses and/or certifications.
