Job Duties
The Investigative Support Supervisor manages all evidence, data, and operational support functions within the Office of Law Enforcement Services (OLES). This includes oversight of physical and digital evidence, video systems, and AXON contracts, along with management of case reporting and coordination with HR, the Attorney General, and Commonwealth's Attorneys. The position directs procurement activities, oversees the OLES fleet and assigned equipment, and manages building maintenance contracts and staff travel. The supervisor leads Investigative Support Analysts, the Evidence Coordinator, Data Analysts, the Systems Engineer Senior, and the OLES Program Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in investigative support, analytical work, or law-enforcement operations involving evidence handling, data systems, case documentation, or operational coordination. Knowledge of investigative processes, automated information systems, and digital evidence platforms. Skill in managing databases, preparing reports, handling confidential information securely, and using spreadsheet and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and maintain compliance with security requirements. High school diploma or equivalent required; must meet eligibility requirements for VCIN/NCIC operator certification. Experience overseeing and coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, delegating tasks, and working collaboratively with the regional recruiter and compensation staff during recruitment and related personnel actions.
Additional Considerations
Advanced knowledge in Computer Science, Criminal Justice, a related field, or equivalent applicable training and experience. Experience in Administration, Management, Technology or related field. Experience in criminal justice, information systems, administration, or related fields. Background in procurement, facility and equipment oversight, digital evidence systems, or management of high-value technology contracts such as AXON. Experience coordinating with Commonwealth's Attorneys, the Attorney General, or investigative units. VCIN/NCIC certification, Spanish language proficiency, or prior leadership of technical or evidence-related personnel .
