About The Role:King County Wastewater Treatment Division inventory purchasing specialists manages over 15,000 unique parts in our secured stores to be available when requested and provides procurement services to the trades(crafts) for all other non-inventory items. This position is responsible for overall material readiness of all equipment at the Brightwater WWTP through the procurement and dispensing of critical spare parts and materials.

Job Duties What You Will Be Doing:- Shipping and receiving
- Inventory management
- Maintain computerized internal purchasing/inventory records and information system
- Work with AP to resolve discrepancies and billing for accuracy
- Purchasing goods and services
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Qualifications You Bring:- Knowledge of basic warehousing equipment and supplies
- Knowledge of heavy duty and industrial parts
- Skill in the use of personal computers, word processors and database management software
- Skill in operating forklift and other material handling equipment
- Skill in interpreting and evaluating manuals and catalogs

Supplemental Information Working Conditions:- Work Location: Brightwater Treatment Plant - 22505 WA-9, Woodinville, WA 98072
- Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week with either a 4/10 or 5/8 work schedule Monday-Friday, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
- Union Representation: This position is represented by S.E.I.U. 925 (Wastewater Treatment Division)
- Physical Requirement: Must be able to routinely lift packages up to 50 pounds and Must be able to operate forklifts, pallets jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
