Job Description:

Caterpillar is seeking an Inventory & Material Flow Production Manager in Victoria, TX. In this role, you will lead the Inventory Accuracy team while driving inventory governance, material flow optimization, audit compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence supporting PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity, Cost).

What you can look forward to in this role:
  • Own inventory cycle count processes and Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA) and Inventory Dollar Accuracy (IDA).
  • Lead inventory reconciliations, inventory governance, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure SOX, IAAS, CQMS, and inventory audit compliance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for inventory discrepancies and receiving issues.
  • Develop Inventory Heat Maps, inventory KPIs, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Drive Point-of-Use (POU), Line-Side Replenishment, Kanban, warehouse layout, and material flow improvements.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and Quality to resolve material issues.
  • Lead Lean initiatives using CPS, Practical Problem Solving (PPS), 5S, and Process Analysis Kata.
  • Report inventory performance, audit results, and KPI trends.
  • Develop and coach Inventory Technicians while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

  • Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • A working knowledge and experience in Inventory Record Accuracy and Inventory Dollar Accuracy governance.
  • A thorough knowledge of factory inventory consumption and material flow processes.
  • Solid proficiency in using SAP Mach 1 and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) control governance.
  • Good communication, organization and time management skills

Summary Pay Range:

$72,360.00 - $108,540.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
