Position Overview: Inventory Control Analyst - FinanceThe Inventory Control Analyst - Finance oversees the full inventory cycle from production to customer invoices. This role is responsible for managing the inventory levels in the Manufacturing plants and the respective Distribution Centers network to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with established procedures
This is a
full-time position based at our Freehold, NJ facility and will require
fully on-site working Monday-Friday each week.
The expected compensation for this position is an
annual salary of $95,000-$115,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform regular cycle counts and spot checks (daily, weekly, and monthly) in accordance with the company's inventory control program
- Coordinate with Operations/Logistics weekly/monthly/annual counts on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
- Identify, analyze, investigate, and reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical counts, production usage, receipts, transfers, and ERP system records.
- Initiate standardized follow-up actions based on count and variance results, including root cause analysis, trend identification, corrective action implementation, process improvement proposals, and updates to inventory control procedures.
- Monitor key inventory items to maintain appropriate inventory levels, reducing cost exposure and minimizing supply gaps
- Work closely with the Logistics and Operations teams and the Inventory Manager to assess physical stock handling processes to identify sources of inventory variance and ensure a smooth operation
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all inventory processes
- Ensure all necessary pre-count tasks are completed ahead of the scheduled counts such as inventory adjustments, stock transfers, and equipment readiness
- Enter the count results into the ERP system promptly after completion and proper approval, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data entry
- Accountable for weekly reporting updates on inventory variances and status on action plan (s) to improve inventory accuracy
- Analyze trends and recurring issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform various analyses to explain and justify inventory discrepancies
Education & Certifications:- Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration or a related field preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in inventory and distribution
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, strong interpersonal/communication skills and advanced Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:- Proven experience in inventory control and warehouse operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Prove ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making
- Excellent time management skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory records
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
Work Environment:- Primarily office-based within the warehouse
- Often visits to the 3PL site - close distance the plant
- May require occasional travel to other plant locations or corporate offices
