Description:
Interventional Radiology Tech position available.
The facility has 874 licensed beds and is a Level I Trauma and Teaching Hospital.
Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designations are present.
The average number of patients per day is approximately 25-30.
First-time travelers are accepted.
The patient population includes adults and pediatrics from various departments.
Common diagnoses cover a full spectrum of radiology exams.
Skills required include confidence in clinical competencies and ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
Teamwork and attitude are highly valued in this role.
The department has support from a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager.
Team members have varied levels of experience, from recent graduates to those with long tenures.
Department equipment includes Siemens single-plane, bi-plane, and Cannon bi-plane machines.
There is no floating to other departments.
Scheduling involves no rotations between weekends and weekdays; travelers will remain on day shifts as per the contract.
On-call schedules vary and are shared fairly among the team.
Holiday coverage is expected unless previously approved for time off.
Scrub colors for technologists are black.
The department culture promotes good teamwork and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
