Interventional Radiology PA | Procedural & Inpatient Care | Clear Lake, TX

POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners Gulf Coast is seeking a motivated and experienced Radiology Physician Assistant to join our growing team, primarily supporting HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant interested in interventional radiology, procedural medicine, and direct patient care. The PA will work closely with our radiologists and clinical teams to provide comprehensive patient care, assist with minor procedures, coordinate procedural services, and help manage patients throughout their hospital experience.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently within their scope of practice while collaborating closely with radiologists, nurses, referring physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a physician extender and provide support for minor procedures
  • Assist with direct patient care, including inpatient consultations and rounding
  • Perform history and physical examinations and obtain comprehensive medical histories
  • Develop and implement individualized patient management plans
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat illnesses and injuries within the PA's scope of practice
  • Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and radiographic studies
  • Perform or assist with image-guided procedures, including paracentesis and thoracentesis
  • Perform image-guided IV access
  • Coordinate patient procedures, including scheduling, pre-authorizations, orders, and communication with referring physicians and outside facilities
  • Prepare and coordinate documentation and reports following procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes
  • Communicate with patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatment plans, and ongoing care
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and programs
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient care and workflow
  • Perform other duties as assigned

LOCAL PRACTICE & COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Current Texas Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• NCCPA certification
• At least one year of Physician Assistant experience preferred
• Previous experience in interventional radiology, surgery, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or procedural care is a plus
• Comfortable assisting with and performing procedures within scope of practice
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary Range: $109,876-$164,814

Final compensation may vary based on factors including education, experience, certifications, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.

This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
