Full Job Description
Assists with the preparation and review of tax returns and reports for RGA's global operations to ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, with a specific focus on OECD BEPS Pillar Two. Ensures department alignment and coordination with all other areas of the company to achieve corporate business strategies and vision. Makes recommendations for process improvements and assists in development of technology tools to facilitate tax compliance, planning and reporting.

Principal Duties:
  • Assists with the preparation and review of tax returns and other compliance activities, with a specific focus on Pillar Two tax notifications, local tax filings and the Global Information Return, working closely and effectively with other team members with this area of responsibility.
  • Collaborates with other members within the tax department and finance organization to assist in the implementation and local country compliance with Pillar Two. Acts as the main liaison with local external consultants in this compliance.
  • Prepares quarterly tax provision and annual return compliance calculations with respect to Pillar Two and/or other regimes as needed.
  • Maintains templates of tax return workbooks by updating for relevant law changes and process improvements. Makes recommendations for what updates are needed.
  • Monitors OECD BEPS Pillar Two initiatives in jurisdictions in which the Company operates.
  • Develops and designs procedures necessary for appropriate management area of responsibility.
  • Performs tax research, analysis and provides recommendations to tax policies and procedures.
  • Assists with analysis concerning tax planning opportunities as they affect RGA and client companies.
  • Performs other assigned responsibilities which may include Public CbCR, tax controversy/audit support, other compliance duties, or work on special projects such as acquisitions and other business opportunities.
  • Fosters a positive and engaged work environment. Maintains regular and predictable attendance.


Job Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or equivalent experience required
  • Master's Degree in Taxation preferred


Work Experience:
  • 6-8 years tax experience required
  • 3+ years international tax experience required
  • Public accounting experience required
  • Insurance/reinsurance experience required


Licenses and Certifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred


Skills & Abilities:
  • Basic Word skills. Required
  • Intermediate Excel and SQL/Query skills Required
  • Intermediate knowledge of international technical tax issues Required
  • Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability Required

Compensation Range:
$89,310.00 - $134,870.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
