Overview
The International Operations Supervisor will supervise the import/export and transshipment of materials, equipment, products, packages and documents including fulfillment of customs requirements. This role will performance management and professional development of the International department. The International Operations Supervisor will train and develop international operations agents and assign work and resources to teammates. This role will supervise relationships with international service providers and partners throughout the globe, being the liaison for the international vendors to manage shipment bookings, ensuring timely transfers from logistics providers' warehouses and onward to final destinations, as appropriate. Responsibilities
  • Supervise the import process, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign shipments to ensure correct arrival time. Ensure compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations
  • Hire, train and develop team to ensure company expectations are met and manage underperformance as necessary. Conduct weekly 1:1's in order to effectively coach and motivate the team through performance KPI's and metrics, individual goals and development opportunities via career-pathing discussions. Monitor staff schedules, overtime and absences
  • Provide guidance in import/export assignments, related interaction, and negotiation
  • Interpret contract terms/conditions for export/import implications and provides direction in all phases of international logistics
  • Support the development of policies and procedures to ensure on-schedule delivery of shipments and compliance with relevant regulations. Execute all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), KPIs, trainings, and all other assignments
  • Responsible for the operation of the office when the manager is absent
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • The wage range for this position is $72,840.00-$109,260.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
