Job DescriptionWe are actively looking for an International Accounting Manager. This role is ideally located in the eastern time zone and could be remote or hybrid.
Position Overview The International Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations for international entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local statutory requirements, and alignment with company accounting policies and U.S.GAAP. This role manages month-end close activities, revenue recognition processes, supports audits and regulatory reporting, and partners with regional teams to ensure consistent accounting practices across global operations. The role emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and strong communication in a dynamic environment while requiring strong technical accounting expertise in ASC 606revenue recognition and international operations.
Key responsibilities - Support accounting operations and financial analysis for international subsidiaries and legal entities
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for international entities
- Review, approve and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Process and review payroll, including accruals and related journal entries, and reconcile bank accounts.
- Process and review revenue recognition activities in compliance with ASC606, including NetSuite ARM revenue allocations, deferred revenue, contract modifications, and related journal entries.
- Support project accounting, percentage-of-completion accounting, contract cost analysis, and revenue forecasting where applicable.
- Review customer contracts to assess accounting treatment, revenue recognition timing, and compliance with company policies.
- Partner with Operations, Project Management, Sales, and FP&A teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting and contract accounting.
- Ensure compliance with local standards, GAAP, and company accounting policies
- Coordinate statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting in multiple jurisdictions
- Support audit requests related to revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and contract accounting documentation
- Support foreign currency accounting, remeasurement, and translation processes.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations
- Support consolidation and financial reporting at the corporate level
- Identify and drive process improvements and standardization across international accounting functions
- Support system implementations, ERP enhancements, and reporting tools
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and revenue recognition controls and other ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management.
- Provide guidance, training, and oversight to stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including international accounting exposure, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or a similar inventory focused environment of $50-150 million revenue.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance, and/or multi-country GAAP requirements.
- Experience managing accounting operations across multiple international entities
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and consolidation tools. Hands-on experience with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) preferred.
- Experience with deferred revenue, contract accounting, and project-based revenue recognition preferred.
- Solid understanding of intercompany accounting and foreign currency accounting
- Experience coordinating with external auditors and advisors
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills across cultures and time zones
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Ability to align work hours to the European countries.

The annual salary range for this role is $105,000 to $140,000, dependent upon experience. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
