Summary:

The International Business Development Manager partners with international distributors to develop and execute business strategies, solve complex problems, and collaborate across departments to support long-term sales growth in assigned markets around the world.

Responsibilities:

Be a Strategic Partner to International Distributors
  • Serve as the primary contact for distributors in assigned markets, building strong partnerships to grow sales long-term.
  • Foster relationships with key decision-makers and advocate for LITTLE TREES in country.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the assigned markets to better support distributors.
  • Coach and advise distributors on our products, sales strategies, and best practices.
  • Identify, vet, and on-board new distribution partners.

Drive Long-Term, Data-Informed Growth
  • Analyze distributor sales results to identify opportunities and shortcomings.
  • Translate data insights and market knowledge into goals and partner with distributors on execution.
  • Set clear expectations with distributors and hold them accountable.
  • Conduct regular meetings virtually or in-person to assess progress.
  • Provide feedback to Director on distributor performance and annual strategic plans.
  • Stay current on country-specific developments to anticipate business impact, mitigate risks, and identify new business opportunities.

Solve Complex Problems
  • Advocate internally for international distributors, taking ownership of projects and working closely with other departments.
  • Review long-standing market issues, propose potential solutions, and work with distributors on a resolution.
  • Anticipate how company changes will affect assigned markets and effectively guide distributors through transitions.

Lead Market Visits
  • Travel to key markets to meet with distributors, see retail execution, identify opportunities, and better understand local challenges.
  • Use visits to align on strategy, deepen relationships, and develop new business ideas together.
  • Represent the company professionally and culturally in diverse environments, requiring flexibility and cultural intelligence.

Contribute to Team and Company Growth
  • Collaborate with fellow International Business Development Managers to share insights and solve shared challenges.
  • Work with Director and team members to refine processes and strategies.
  • Help onboard and mentor junior team members as necessary.

Requirements:
  • Relevant work experience - B2B sales preferred.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Fluency in another language preferred.
  • Travel to the Corporate Office in Watertown, NY for the first month of orientation, followed by routine travel to the Corporate Office an average of 3 days per month.
  • 10% international travel.

Salary: $74,000 - $100,000
