Full Job Description
The Medway Public Schools is seeking an Interim Elementary Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. Performance Responsibilities
  • Serves as a visible and accessible administrator who builds strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
  • Works collaboratively with the principal to maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.
  • Supports the implementation of the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional student needs through data-informed intervention and collaboration with support teams.
  • Partners with academic departments to support instructional improvement, curriculum implementation, and professional collaboration.
  • Assists in supervising and evaluating instructional staff in accordance with the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation Framework.
  • Assists in recruiting, screening, hiring, onboarding, and supporting instructional and non-instructional staff.
  • Supports the development and implementation of student support and accountability systems, including attendance, discipline, and intervention strategies.
  • Collaborates with school counselors, special education staff, and support personnel to ensure coordinated support for students.
  • Assists in planning and supervising school events, co-curricular activities, and student programs.
  • Participates in administrative meetings and school improvement initiatives aligned with district and school priorities.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of student and parent orientation programs.
  • Experience with elementary school scheduling and/or master schedule development (preferred).
  • Experience coordinating or supporting state assessment programs (e.g., MCAS) and other large-scale school operations (preferred).
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the principal and/or Superintendent
Education and Experience:
  • Massachusetts licensure, or eligibility to obtain, as a Principal/Assistant Principal.
  • Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience preferred.
  • Masters Degree with specialization in educational administration or curriculum and supervision preferred.
  • Administrative and/or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the superintendent or school committee may find appropriate and acceptable.
