Full Job Description
Adaugeo Healthcare Solutions (AHS) is seeking an Interface Development Manager to lead our small, focused interface development team. This team is responsible for HL7 messaging, FHIR and SMART on FHIR integrations, and clinical data exchange across our three affiliated entities: AHS corporate, Praxis Health (a multi-region clinic network), and Interpath Laboratory (a multi-region lab network spanning Oregon, Washington, and Idaho). Our current interface engine is InterSystems IRIS for Health. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to combine direct technical ownership of healthcare interoperability with formal people management.

Pay

$130,000 - $165,000 annually (depending on experience)

Schedule

The standard work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST, with flexibility as long as core hours (8:00 AM to 3:00 PM) are covered

Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts
  • 401(K) with discretionary employer match
  • Paid Time Off
  • Free clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of .NET/C# development experience.
  • 2+ years in a team lead, tech lead, or people-management capacity with direct reports.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with HL7 v2.x messaging and clinical data exchange - not just general API integration experience.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with FHIR and SMART on FHIR (app launch and authorization flows, e.g., OAuth2/UDAP, CDS Hooks) - candidates must be comfortable with both HL7 v2.x and FHIR/SMART on FHIR, not one or the other.
  • Experience delivering software in a healthcare or other regulated industry.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) in daily work, and interest in extending that practice across a team.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with InterSystems IRIS for Health specifically, since it is our current interface engine; experience with other engines or middleware (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody), EMR/EHR integration, and BI/reporting tools (SSRS, Power BI) is also valued.

Main Job Duties
  • Directly manage a small interface development team, including hiring, performance reviews, career development, and day-to-day technical direction.
  • Own the design, build, and support of HL7 v2.x and FHIR-based integrations, including SMART on FHIR app authorization flows, connecting AHS, Praxis Health, and Interpath Laboratory systems with EMRs, clearinghouses, laboratory instruments, and other external partners.
  • Lead modernization of existing interface tooling and processes, including evaluating opportunities to reduce integration turnaround time for new clients and partners.
  • Champion AI-assisted development practices within the team - this includes evaluating where AI can accelerate mapping, validation, documentation, and testing of new interfaces, while maintaining rigorous human review for anything touching PHI.
  • Partner closely with the Software Development Manager, clinical operations, and business stakeholders to prioritize interface work against organizational goals.
  • Establish and maintain data-quality, security, and compliance standards for all interface work, consistent with HIPAA requirements.

Physical Requirements

Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer operations, stooping, bending, mobility to complete errands, or sitting for extended periods of time. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
