Interface Coordinator - Structural
Onsite

Location: Greenville, SC or Houston, TX
Pay Rate: Hourly

Type: Full-Time W2 (No subcontracting or C2C)

Overview:
We are requesting several Interface Coordinators for the SRPPF project. All positions would be preferred in Houston, but potentially acceptable in Greenville.
We would prefer that these positions be filled by engineers with a degree, but designers and engineering specialist without a degree will be considered if they have the right skill set.

Responsibilities:
  • Interface Management:
    • Define and manage interfaces between project components (e.g., electrical, mechanical, piping).
    • Ensure clear communication and coordination among different teams and systems.
    • Resolve conflicts arising from overlapping scopes or misalignments.
    • Maintain detailed documentation and manage risks associated with interfaces.
    • Develop and execute interface management strategies and plans.
    • Schedule and lead regular meetings and teleconferences to align teams and enhance information sharing.
  • Structural Engineering/Designing:
    • Lead engineering/design tasks on assigned projects, providing technical guidance and oversight.
    • Analyze complex problems and develop solutions in accordance with project requirements.
    • Review and develop specifications, design criteria, and engineering calculations.
    • Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, vendors, and clients.
    • Ensure compliance with quality plans, cost, and schedule baselines.
    • Provide technical support for procurement, including bid evaluations and vendor submittals.
    • Oversee construction activities, responding to field changes and requests-for-information.
Qualifications:
  • General:
    • 7+ years of experience in interface management, project controls, and design/construction engineering.
    • Proven track record on large EPFC/CM projects.
    • Degree in Engineering preferred; PMP certification highly recommended.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in CAD applications and software.
  • Structural Specific:
    • U.S. Citizenship required.
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and 10+ years of related experience desired. Degree is not a must have.
    • Professional Engineer license is nice to have.
    • Advanced knowledge of structural design software (e.g., S3D, STAADPro, RISA3D) and engineering standards.
    • Experience in managing large projects, especially in industrial and federal settings.
    • Proficiency in EPC project execution, including 3D modeling and CADD.
Additional Considerations:
  • International project experience and commitment to diversity/inclusion are valued.
  • This role requires travel, with mobility greater than 25%.
