Support Section Supervisor (76 SWEG / MXDEJ)

Lead and empower the administrative and operational engine of the 76th Software Engineering Group (76 SWEG). As a 1st-level supervisor, you will direct the Support Section-the vital hub managing business operations, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to keep elite engineering teams mission-ready.

- Operational Control Center: Lead the team that centrally manages the critical business functions-including finance, budgeting, and resource management-powering a premier defense software engineering group.

- Direct Leadership & Mentorship: Take the helm of a dedicated support team, actively guiding their professional development while instilling accountability and operational excellence.

- High-Visibility Impact: Serve as the continuous advisor to senior leadership on resource allocations, production optimization, and compliance across the entire MXDE directorate.

Key Responsibilities

- People & Performance Leadership: Exercise direct supervisory and position management authority over subordinate personnel, planning work activities, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

- Financial & Resource Stewardship: Oversee budget execution, financial tracking, and resource allocation to ensure optimal support for complex technical missions.

- Production & Workflow Optimization: Drive administrative operations, manage compliance suspense items, and streamline support processes to maximize organizational efficiency.

- Strategic Reporting: Act as the key conduit for the Support Section, providing accurate metrics, financial reports, and expert guidance to higher management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance

- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use

- Position requires travel which will be performed in accordance with Joint Travel Regulation

- Employee is subject to recall during non-duty hours, weekends, and holidays to resolve problems or meet schedule commitments

- This position has been designated as a Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Professional knowledge of electronics engineering and computer science concepts, theories, principles, and practices and working knowledge of other disciplines, such as aerospace, industrial, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering; of a broad range of engineering standards, precedents, methods, and techniques to ensure work in compliance with regulations and standards; and the applicability of such knowledge to the full range of duties concerned with design, production, and maintenance of Operational Flight Programs, Automated Test Systems, Test Program Set Software, and other systems used to support the warfighter and weapons systems program offices.

2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.

4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.

5. Knowledge of budgeting, procurement, standard configuration and finding regulations, practices and processes related to system acquisition and sustainment management functions.
