This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

HII designs, develops, integrates and manages the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated ISR operations and accelerated decision-making. With data fusion and mission management capabilities for the Department of Defense, the combatant commands and the intelligence community, HII advances the mission around the globe.

Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to join our Operations Support Team (OST) located at the Ft. Meade and Annapolis Junction, Maryland locations. This critical position is part of a 24/7 Help Desk team of technicians that is required to maintain optimal posture of SIGINT systems across a wide range of AORs. The OST Intelligence Analyst diagnoses, troubleshoots, and rectifies any faults for deployed sensors, and forwards unresolved issues to deployed Field Service Representatives (FSRs) with the correct diagnosis and the steps for repair.

The OST Intelligence Analyst serves as a point of contact for FSRs to gain assistance in troubleshooting deployed systems; provides on-call reach-back capability to mission managers, FSRs and system engineers for deployed assets; and resolves Service Requests (SRs) for system outages and troubleshooting. Additionally, they may be asked to provide onsite support activities for flight test operations at customer facilities. This includes conducting validations, installation of systems on platforms, loading and unloading equipment, monitoring tests on systems, equipment installation and testing, and setting up software servers. This requires travel to the customer facilities for up to two weeks per occurrence.

The OST Help Desk is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Currently there are two modified Panama shifts of 12 hours each; the first shift begins at 6 am and ends at 6 pm. The second shift begins at 6 pm and ends at 6 am. Teams of technicians work an approximate rotating shift pattern of 2 days on / 2 days off; 5 days on / 5 days off. Operational teams will periodically switch between the first and second shifts (days and nights) every 2 months.

  • Maintenance of the outage/troubleshooting database
  • Identify software or hardware related flaws to engineers
  • Serve as a liaison for failure analysis and troubleshooting coordination with SIGINT operations and field service personnel

  • Independently write reports detailing methods, results, and impacts to assigned issues
  • Perform queries and analysis using national databases
  • Perform signals analysis research
  • Produce geo-location data to support the development of various intelligence reports
  • Create data products and support/develop associated systems which heavily utilize technically derived data from multiple sources to include SIGINT, MASINT, IMINT, OSINT, and HUMINT
  • Train other members of the team on SIGINT fundamentals
