Integration Engineer to join a highly collaborative healthcare technology team supporting data exchange and interoperability initiatives in a Fully Remote position! The
Integration Engineer is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer with experience in healthcare integrations, HL7, and technical troubleshooting who is looking to continue developing their integration engineering skills.
Responsibilities for the Integration Engineer include :
- Provide Tier 2 support for healthcare integrations, troubleshooting live data feeds, investigating recurring issues, participating in technical support calls, and tracing problems from end to end.
- Work hands-on with HL7 standards and healthcare messaging, including HL7 v2 messages such as ADT and ORU, to troubleshoot interfaces and ensure reliable data exchange between systems.
- Gather and interpret technical requirements and assist with building, configuring, testing, deploying, and monitoring integrations across the healthcare environment.
- Work closely with engineers, customers, project managers, and implementation teams to investigate issues, coordinate integration testing, and communicate technical information and project updates clearly.
- Monitor production integrations, configure alerts, investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, and identify opportunities to improve integration reliability and internal processes.
Qualifications for the Integration Engineer include : - Experience working with healthcare integrations, interoperability, healthcare data exchange, or interface support, with the ability to troubleshoot technical problems from end to end.
- Experience with HL7 CCDA/CCD, SQL, and/or Python preferred
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with an understanding of data flows, production support, technical integrations, and root-cause investigation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust technical explanations for engineers, customers, project managers, implementation teams, and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience with Mirth Connect or another healthcare interface engine is a plus, along with familiarity using AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot for coding assistance, troubleshooting, and technical investigation.
Compensation for the Integration Engineer includes : - Salary range : 40-45/hr.
