Full Job Description
Anduril is seeking a Integration and Test Technician to join the Maneuver Dominance team at our Costa Mesa HQ to lead a critical capability development of an advanced airborne platform. You will work on new UAS development by building complex test equipment, including Iron Bird Hardware In The Loop (HITL) physical integration environments. All of this in a lean, high-ownership culture where you directly shape the product and operate at a velocity to fly new designs within months, not years.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• HITL/Ironbird Design, Build, and Integration
◦ Assemble complex electromechanical subsystems, test racks, junction boxes, and associated hardware, including fabrication, component assembly, and system integration.
◦ Design, fabricate, assemble, and modify complex cable and wire harness assemblies for prototype and production systems.
◦ Execute Safe-to-Mate (STM), Safe-to-Power (STP), and hardware integration procedures to safely integrate and energize flight hardware.
◦ Support electrical checkout, functional verification, and root case investigation during hardware integration and validation activities.
• HITL Lab Sustainment
◦ Maintain the health and operational readiness of HITL and Iron Bird environments through maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement.
◦ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical components, line replaceable units (LRUs), wiring harnesses, and integration hardware.
◦ Manage inventory of lab hardware, tools, cables, connectors, and spare components.
◦ Maintain accurate configuration documentation for integration and test environments.
◦ Support continuous improvement of lab organization, tooling, and integration processes.
• HITL Safety
◦ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment
◦ Act with a strong safety mindset ("Stop, Think, Do") while operating in prototype and experimental environments with the aim of eliminating potential harm to team members.
◦ Follow established procedures and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
• Associate Degree (or similar) Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Technologies, or related fields
• Experience building, integrating, operating or maintaining HIL/HITL/Iron Bird environments for flight vehicles
• Experience developing and executing Safe-to-Mate (STM), Safe-to-Power (STP), and integration procedures
• Experience performing LRU-, subsystem-, and system-level hardware integration and bring-up
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems, harnesses, LRUs, and electromechanical assemblies
• Familiarity with electrical bus interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/422/485, MIL-STD-1553)
• Experience with oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, and other electrical test equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and engineering documentation
• Experience with soldering, crimping, connector assembly, and wire harness fabrication to aerospace/miltary standards
• Experience supporting Group 4 or Group 5 UAS, aerospace, or defense vehicle integration and test environments
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly in a face-paced development environment
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
• A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance in United States, United Kingdom, or Australia desirable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with IPC Quality Standards, IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD, and other assembly and inspection standards
