Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day

As IPT Lead within the Service Engineering Blades and Vanes organization, you will play a key role in supporting the development and qualification of refurbished turbine blades, vanes, and ring segments. Your day will include developing and qualifying repaired components, collaborating with design engineering on Design for Repair (DfR) initiatives, and driving innovation across global Siemens Energy and vendor repair shops. You will lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of engineers responsible for the performance, cost, serviceability, and manufacturability of refurbished turbine blades and vanes. You will work closely with stakeholders and interface partners in engineering, manufacturing, new product, procurement and frame program management to ensure that all targets of the turbine refurbishment project are successfully achieved. Through other initiatives, you'll help extend component life, improve reliability, reduce refurbishment costs and implement digital twins through advanced technologies and cross-functional project leadership.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead and coordinate repair, modification, upgrade, and DfR development/qualification projects, ensuring technical accuracy and timeline adherence.
  • Support implementation of new repair technologies, including additive manufacturing, and provide shop-floor technical guidance and NCR evaluations to improve repairability of components.
  • Collaborate with service engineering, service design, new product design, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust repair solutions.
  • Follow the Product Development Process (PDP), ensure proper Focused Technical Reviews, documentation, milestone tracking, risk assessments, and process qualifications are completed.
  • Drive and enable cost-out initiatives and continuous improvement through structured engineering and data-driven project work.
  • You regularly report your team's progress to all involved stakeholders.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience leading R&D initiatives involving design, manufacturing and/or repair development. Experience with hot-section gas turbine components is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and apply digital tools for data-driven problem solving.
  • Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, and basic programming or data analysis (Python, Excel VBA, SQL) is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills with a proactive, structured, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% for project work, shop support, and global collaboration.
  • Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
