Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

This exciting key contributor role within the BMP Analytical Sciences team will build campaigns for Avantor's Lab Chemical and Chromatography product portfolios.

The Integrated Marcom Senior Manager will be based in the U.S. and collaborate globally with Avantor's strategic marketing, product portfolio and commercial leaders, members of Avantor's global communications and brand team, and external agency partners to develop Marketing strategy and be the lead for execution of integrated marketing communications campaigns, content and programs. The role will also be accountable for measuring and reporting program results on a routine basis to drive optimization and visibility.

What we're looking for
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 8 to 10 years of communications, marketing, brand management or related agency experience with a successful track record in planning and executing global marketing communications campaigns.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working hands-on in digital marketing. In-house/client side experience preferred.
  • A strategic communications lens, a business orientation, an understanding of the relevant corporate functions and a focus on performance.
  • Experience working with biotechnology, pharma, med device, life sciences, or advanced technology businesses/products highly desired.
  • Global experience is a plus.
  • Passion for communications and marketing paired with desire to represent Marketing Communications on an integrated team.
  • Strong ability to build productive relationships and lead development of marketing communications strategies through interactions with diverse internal and external business partners, including company senior leadership across a variety of functions and geographies.
  • A team player mentality with strong interpersonal skills is key.


How you will thrive and create an impact
  • Contribute to the development of an integrated Marketing Plan for the business that helps the business meet global revenue targets.
  • Maintain an understanding of target customer segments and the value propositions for the most strategic workflows/products/services.
  • Create and manage a Marketing bowler tracking key marketing KPIs.
  • Report on Marketing effectiveness on a regular cadence.
  • Drive a strategic, customer-centric narrative through the development of rich, SEO content for campaigns based on understanding of workflow, target customers, and product positioning.
  • Infuse the corporate and brand stories across all plans and build a differentiated narrative that maintains consistency in Marketing collateral and drives revenue growth
  • Own the execution of global content, activities and promotion plans including educational content, sales collateral, technical articles, owned publications, events/trade shows, web content, media stories and internal communications for relevant campaigns and initiatives.
  • Employ a variety of channels (e.g. social, digital, mobile, search, account-based marketing, email, public relations/earned media, owned
    channels and events) aligned to appropriate stages in the marketing funnel to achieve business results.
  • Apply knowledge of life sciences and health care to leverage the whole of Avantor's solutions and capabilities for measurable results.
  • Articulate a clear vision and objective for integrated marketing programs and provide ongoing strategic direction to the in-house and external creative services and regional marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with Avantor's in-house agency team and external agency partners to develop strategies, plans, content and assets.
  • Manage external agencies to complete projects on time and budget with excellent quality.
  • Collaborate with strategic marketing, commercial and R&D teams to integrate inputs into high-performing campaigns.
  • Develop master editorial calendar and Marketing budget tracker by campaign to support asset creation and manage budget spend.
  • Monitor and report progress against targets/metrics for overall campaign results. Develop actionable insights to address gaps or resistance.
