As an Integrated Construction Technology Specialist for Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. in Honolulu, Hawaii, you'll have the opportunity to coordinate digital construction tools, project data, and field operations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures multidiscipline construction technologies (including models, tools, and practices are current and standards are being adhered to, to meet construction needs.
  • Collaborates with the project team with the development of construction-site logistics models.
  • Coordinates and manages trade detailing and design deliverables.
  • Liaises between design teams and construction teams.
  • During the pursuit stage, works with the project team to review and recommend scopes that VDC tools and processes can be incorporated into the project.
  • Participates in scoping design deliverables and trade detailing requirements.
  • Collaborates with design and trade partners to support the development of project documentation.
  • Collaborates with the Manager, Integrated Construction Technology with the review of VDC / technology contract language and BIM execution plan.
  • Establishes and sets up the trade partner model coordination process that includes shop and fabrication model review and hands over to project teams.
  • Aggregates and keeps multidiscipline construction models current, ensuring that project modeling standards are adhered to.
  • Creates and coordinates the processing of (RFIs) with the project team.
  • Recognizes opportunities and leverages integrated construction technology on projects.


Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a buildings industry-related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural.
  • 5 to 7 years of construction-related experience including 2 to 3 years of Virtual Design and Construction-related experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequences.
  • Awareness of and some involvement in implementing construction technology.
  • Ability to provide project model management.
  • Knowledge of the building construction process and the various building components involved at each stage of construction.
  • Ability to ensure the quality of virtual design and construction models from design and trade partners.
  • Understanding of trade detailing and design workflows.
  • Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications and translate 2D drawings and specifications into a complete 3D/4D Building Information Model.
  • Intermediate knowledge in 3D modeling software and training and ability to create content in VDC software.
  • Ability to provide input into Building Information Model (BIM) execution plan.
  • Ability to read and understand the construction model and scope to create and apply a VDC schedule.
  • Ability to create and communicate markups to construction drawings.

The estimated salary range for this role is $93,000 - $115,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
