Job Summary

The Faculty of Law is nationally and internationally recognized as a leading law school, with a distinguished record of outstanding teaching and research. In addition to offering the JD and graduate (LLM and PhD) programs, the Faculty of Law also offers innovative online programs such as the Certificate in Law and the Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law, along with Professional Certificate Programs designed to meet the evolving needs of the legal profession and related markets. Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Graduate Studies and Professional Programs, the Instructional Design Support Administrator will use Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to provide proficient support in the development and delivery of online courses. Working with other members of the Educational Development (EdDev) team, the incumbent will contribute to the development and refinement of course modules, such as files, activities, assessments, multimedia content, and gradebooks, within the Learning Management System (LMS); collaborate with instructors to provide orientation, training, and best practices for using LMS tools; and develop clear and practical how-to documentation for faculty and staff. In addition, the incumbent may oversee casual staff and/or work study students, support project coordination within the course development team, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute ideas that enhance the overall online learning experience in a rapidly evolving digital environment. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, an aptitude for learning and applying new technologies, and a commitment to staying ahead of trends in educational technology. They will bring knowledge of AI-enabled tools, multimedia production, including video filming, editing, and post-production, as well as quality assurance processes to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and engaging.

What you will do

Required Education
• Master's Degree or equivalent. In addition, requires a professional designation, certification, or other qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.

Required Experience

o Experience with learning management system functionalities and standards is considered an asset.
o Experience with rapid eLearning development tools or other applicable emerging learning technologies is considered an asset.
