Main Duties & Responsibilities

Summary:
PennAero is hiring an Inspection Supervisor at our Allfast Fastening Systems company in City of Industry, CA. Allfast Fastening Systems is a leading global manufacturer of solid and blind rivets, blind bolts, temporary fasteners, and installation tools for the aerospace industry. Our fasteners are crucial for the structural integrity of both commercial airliners and military jets. As a key supplier to major aerospace manufacturers, Allfast's products support the commercial, military, and general aviation platforms in production and in service.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for oversight of and coordinating the daily activities of Quality inspection and testing for In-Process, Receiving, and all final products. Ensuring all inspection and test equipment are within calibration prior to use, validating rejections on suspect product, consultations with production. Lastly, this role will be critical in supporting the quality needs of the business. Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of products. Plans, conducts, and leads inspection activities in order to ensure the quality of products. In matters concerning operations, the Quality Supervisor adheres to the policies, procedures and work instructions that comprise Allfast Fastening Systems' AS9100D quality management system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Oversee the day to day operations of final/receiving/in-process inspection, calibration, and certs.
Support PMRB process including validating of rejected material, assist with dispositioning and processing.
Identify and segregate non-conforming product if applicable
Perform training and qualification of personnel as necessary
Manage consumable supplies inventory critical to Quality function including inspection supplies and identify opportunities related to potential cost-reduction.
Perform software validation of new software used for acceptance testing and inspection IAW NADCAP requirements.
Interface with suppliers as deemed necessary including coordination of service/calibration activities.
Create inspection and test plans.
Maintain a working knowledge of Quality Process (AS9100) procedure requirements as they apply to inspection, testing and manufacturing operations.
Ability to read, interpret and execute applicable procedures, specifications, work instructions, etc.
Reviewing, as applicable, Shop Travelers and purchase orders to determine required inspection parameters and verification of completion of previous operations, correct quantities, correct references to workmanship / acceptance criteria, part cleanliness, damage free surfaces, etc.
Ensuring that all test equipment and materials are maintained in good working condition and that Calibration is current for items requiring calibration prior to use.
Assist with SPC process and perform data analysis as required. Support automated inspection programming (example Keyence).
Support audits (Internal & External) as determined by the Quality Manager.

Performing and documenting results of all required equipment checks and reporting any nonconforming conditions to the Quality Manager.
Create, review and print product Certification Certificates.
Coordinate Quality department schedules to ensure adequate coverage is provided to support operations.
Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company's commitment to quality and safety.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Management.
Develops, maintains and implements internal quality assurance policies and procedures in accordance with Metallurgical Lab Manager.
Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities.
Maintains a working knowledge if industry and customer quality assurance codes and standards.

This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the City of Industry, CA location.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and Five (5) years experience in Quality Inspection and/or Testing.
A minimum of three (3) years experience as a lead or in a decision making role within the Quality Department.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
