Job Description

L'ingénieur en chef en mécanique des alternateurs sera responsable de la conception des composants mécaniques des alternateurs hydroélectriques pour les projets d'installation. Il/Elle sera également chargé(e) d'assurer le support technique pour la chaîne d'approvisionnement et les activités sur site liées aux générateurs hydroélectriques.

Les principales responsabilités/fonctions essentielles comprennent:
  • Fournir les dossiers de conception pour les projets de centrales hydroélectriques en utilisant les directives techniques et les projets de référence ;
  • Collaborer avec d'autres centres d'excellence en ingénierie à l'échelle mondiale ;
  • Participer et animer les réunions de revue de conception avec d'autres ingénieurs, les différentes fonctions et les ingénieurs-conseils.
  • Superviser le travail des ingénieurs concepteurs et des dessinateurs pour la production des calculs de conception, des spécifications techniques, des plans et des nomenclatures.
  • Fournir un soutien technique aux équipes de la chaîne d'approvisionnement et du site tout au long du cycle de vie des composants de la centrale.
  • Appliquer les règles et les concepts de fiabilité, de qualité, de sécurité et de maîtrise des coûts.
  • Collaborer avec les responsables de l'ingénierie de projet et les assister dans l'exécution des projets.


Qualifications requises:
  • Baccalauréat en génie mécanique d'une université ou d'un collège accrédité
  • Etre membre de l'OIQ
  • Solides compétences en résistance des matériaux
  • Bonne connaissance des méthodes d'essais non destructifs, des matériaux et du soudage
  • Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en conception mécanique de générateurs (stators, rotors, roulements, supports)
  • Proactivité, sens de l'urgence, autonomie
  • Aptitudes avérées en communication et en leadership
  • Capacité à travailler dans un environnement multiculturel et multisite
  • Bonnes capacités d'analyse
  • Esprit d'équipe, attitude positive, volonté d'apprendre et d'adapter aux besoins de l'entreprise
  • Être ingénieur professionnel agréé (PE) dans son État ou admissible à l'obtention de ce titre à court terme
  • Disponibilité pour des déplacements occasionnels en Amérique du Nord

English:

The Lead Generator Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design of hydro generator mechanical components for installed based projects. He/she will also be responsible to provide technical support for supply chain and site activities related to hydro generators.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
  • Deliver design work packages for hydro generator projects using technical guidelines and reference projects;
  • Collaborate with other engineering COEs (Center Of Excellence) worldwide;
  • Participate to & lead design review meetings with other engineers, functions and consulting Engineers.
  • Supervise the work of design engineers and draftsmen to Deliver design calculations, technical specifications, drawings and BOM's.
  • Provide technical support to supply chain and site teams during the entire lifecycle of the generator components.
  • Apply rules and concepts for reliability, quality, safety and cost.
  • Collaborate with and assist project engineering managers in project execution.

  • Strong skills in strength of materials,
  • Good knowledge of non-destructive examinations methods, materials and welding
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in generator mechanical design (stators, rotors, bearings, brackets)
  • Pro-activeness, sense of urgency, autonomy.
  • Established communication and leadership skills;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-locational environment;
  • Good analytical skills
  • Team player, positive, willingness to learn & adapt to business needs
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in their state, or eligible to become licensed in the short term.
  • Willingness and availability to occasionally travel in North America


Preferred Qualifications/Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of CAD tools
  • Experience in hydro industry
