En tant que membre de l'équipe d'analyse des performances des moteurs, vous serez responsable de tâches variées et vous ferez une contribution importante en mettant en application les connaissances de thermodynamique et d'aérodynamique dans ce domaine. Vous aurez une compréhension intime des fondements de la performance moteur. De plus, vous développerez une vision complète du moteur au niveau système. Ces deux aspects vous permettront de vous acquitter de vos tâches dans un environnement stimulant et dynamique.

Le poste est à temps plein du lundi au vendredi selon des horaires flexibles à Longueuil et s'effectue exclusivement en présentiel.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ?

Dans votre poste, au sein d'une equipe dynamique, vous aurez la chance de:
  • Effectuer l'analyse du cycle de propulsion et effectuer des prédictions de performances des moteurs en créant des simulations par ordinateur dans le but de rencontrer l'ensemble des besoins au niveau système.
  • Préparer des données de performance motrice en régime permanent et transitoire pour le support des études de contrainte, aérodynamique et contrôle des moteurs.
  • Préciser les exigences, évaluer les données des essais moteurs et documenter les résultats afin de supporter le programme de développement et d'essais en vol, la production et l'entrée des produits en service.
  • Comprendre les problèmes au niveau du système liés à la conception de moteurs d'avions, de la performance, de l'opérabilité et des opérations. Évaluer la faisabilité de nouveaux concepts et supporter les études de conception préliminaire.


Qu'est-ce qu'il vous faut pour réussir?
  • Baccalauréat en génie mécanique avec un minimum de 4 ans d'expérience, ou une maîtrise avec un minimum de 2 ans d'expérience.
  • Bonne aptitude en communication orale et écrite.
  • Aptitude à gérer plusieurs tâches analytiques simultanément.
  • Aptitude à travailler en équipe et à mener des équipes intégrées de produit.
  • Expérience ou expertise démontrée en performance et en aérodynamique des moteurs, en calibrage, en analyse de cycle et/ou en analyse de conception préliminaire serai un atout.
  • Connaissance de la programmation par ordinateur en utilisant Python, Matlab, FORTRAN, Visual basic et/ou C++ serait un atout.
  • Flexible à travailler en dehors des heures régulières de travail afin de supporter les programmes de tests comportant plusieurs quarts de travail.
  • Ce poste s'inscrit dans un milieu de travail francophone, néanmoins il nécessite une très bonne connaissance de l'anglais pour lire et comprendre, sur une base quotidienne, de la documentation et des termes techniques qui peuvent émaner d'organisations internationales, ainsi que pour écrire et communiquer en anglais avec des clients, des fournisseurs ou des collègues internationaux.

Job Title: Engineer, Analyst - Aerodynamics & Thermodynamics

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Perform propulsion cycle analysis and make aircraft engine performance predictions by creating computer simulations to achieve overall system level requirements.
  • Prepare steady state and transient engine performance data in support of engine control, stress and aerodynamic studies.
  • Specify requirements, evaluate engine test data and document results in support of development and flight test program, production and product entry into service.
  • Understand system level issues related to aircraft engine design, performance, operability and operation. Assess feasibility of new concepts and support preliminary design studies.


What do you need to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 4 years' experience, or master's degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient at handling several analytical tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate well in and at times lead Integrated Product Teams.
  • Background or demonstrated expertise in aircraft engine performance and aerodynamics, sizing, cycle analysis and/or preliminary design analysis is an asset.
  • Knowledge of computer programming using Python, Matlab, FORTRAN, Visual Basic, and/or C++ is an asset.
  • Willingness to work outside of regular hours to support test programs involving multiple shifts
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
