Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Infrastructure Projects Director to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of infrastructure and mission critical projects. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure the platform meets the needs of our corporate clients' office construction and renovation projects. Additionally, you will lead a team of construction project managers in executing infrastructure and mission critical projects while continuously improving the platform's functionality and user experience. By empowering teams through authentic communication and active listening, asking better questions to foster a people-centric environment that promotes growth and accountability, and leading by example you will create a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration where everyone feels valued and motivated to achieve their full potential. Responsibilities: PLATFORM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT o Lead the development and implementation of infrastructure and mission critical project management platform, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and meets client requirements for while inspiring others to succeed and grow through inclusive leadership o Collaborate with various stakeholders, including facilities management and mission critical clients, construction project teams, architects, engineers, general contractors, and IT teams, to gather requirements and design effective solutions by thinking enterprise-wide and solving problems together o Oversee the platform's functionality for tracking construction schedules, budgets, permits, change orders, and quality control specific to office space projects, ensuring it is user-friendly and meets the needs of our corporate clients through simplifying complexity and navigating construction project ambiguity o Master the matrix to combine local construction expertise with global corporate standards while streamlining office construction processes for maximum efficiency TEAM LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT o Lead a team of construction project managers specializing in infrastructure and mission critical projects, assigning projects, providing guidance on construction best practices, and ensuring successful execution of office build-outs and renovations through authentic communication and active listening o Empower team members by asking better questions about construction challenges, space planning, and client requirements that foster growth and accountability in office construction project delivery o Foster inclusion across diverse construction teams and cultures while being enthusiastic and showing genuine care for team development in office construction expertise o Create a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration in office construction project management where everyone feels valued and motivated to achieve their full potential CONSTRUCTION PROJECT EXCELLENCE o Ensure platform supports comprehensive infrastructure and mission critical construction project lifecycle management including pre-construction planning, design coordination, construction administration, and post-occupancy services o Oversee platform capabilities for managing construction documentation, submittal reviews, RFIs, and punch list management specific to office environments o Monitor platform integration with construction scheduling software, cost management tools, and office space planning applications o Ensure platform compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and client guidelines, and safety standards for infrastructure and mission critical projects. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & INNOVATION o Continuously improve the construction platform by identifying enhancements in construction workflows, evaluating new construction technologies, and implementing best practices for office space delivery while being future ready through agile thinking and bold innovation o Keep learning about emerging office construction trends, sustainable building practices, and smart office technologies to drive platform solutions that lead change while balancing short-term construction milestones and long-term value o Deliver on commitments by being intentional about construction project timelines, tenacious in quality delivery, and never settling for mediocre construction outcomes o Make brave, data-driven decisions based on construction cost analysis, schedule optimization, and office space utilization metrics STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT & SUPPORT o Provide training and support to construction project managers, architects, contractors, and end-users on infrastructure and mission critical project management platform features, ensuring smooth adoption through clear communication that inspires action o Win together by building trust with construction stakeholders and challenging respectfully to debate and commit to infrastructure and mission critical construction platform improvements o Empower others to make informed decisions quickly regarding project execution, vendor selection, and space planning optimization PERFORMANCE MONITORING & REPORTING o Monitor and report on construction project performance metrics including schedule adherence, budget variance, quality scores, and client satisfaction o Stay up-to-date with office construction industry trends, emerging technologies, and infrastructure and mission critical project management best practices o Simplify construction reporting processes by prioritizing critical construction metrics and providing clear direction to construction stakeholders Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE o Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field o Proven experience in construction project management, specifically within infrastructure and mission critical construction, tenant improvements, and workplace projects o Strong knowledge and experience working with construction project management platforms and office construction workflows CONSTRUCTION EXPERTISE o Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project management o Understanding of construction processes including design development, permitting, construction administration, and occupancy o Knowledge of real estate portfolio engineering standards, office building systems, and infrastructure and mission critical construction o Experience with office construction budgeting, scheduling, and quality control processes KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES o Excellent leadership and team management skills with authentic communication and active listening o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to ask better questions that drive innovation o Effective communication and interpersonal skills with project stakeholders and vendors o Ability to multitask multiple projects and prioritize in fast-paced environments while maintaining focus on continuous improvement o Detail-oriented with focus on delivering high-quality results that exceed client expectations o Ability to lead construction teams by example and create collaborative environments where construction professionals feel valued and motivated Join our team and lead the way in revolutionizing infrastructure and mission critical project management through innovative technology solutions while embodying the JLL Leadership Behaviors and PDS Leadership Vision!
